Jammu Municipal Corporation

Health and Sanitation wing of this Corporation is headed by Health Officer and assisted by one Sanitation Officer, 3 Assistant Sanitation Officers, 23 Sanitary Inspectors, 52 Sanitary Supervisors besides 1056 Permanent Safai Karmcharies. In the extended areas the work of sanitation is being executed through N.G.O’s who are deploying above 850 Safai Karmcharies daily.

PFA Drives:- A regular drive is being carried on for ensuring the sale of wholesome milk, milk products, meat and other eatable items. The teams are being deputed on daily basis. Year 2009-10 (Jan 2009 to July 2009) Part-I Challan launched under PFA Act 1954.
